Showcases Of The Immortals

Hey guys. It's The Niz, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion of MCHS, with something I just couldn't help but post. I apologize to Mr. T for posting when I'm not scheduled to, but I really can't wait to get this down. I just had this idea and I think I'm going to get some very interesting responses.

So anyway, March 29th marks the 31st Wrestlemania and Wrestlemania for years has been called the "Showcase Of The Immortals." When you work for the WWE, you work your entire career in the company for your "Wrestlemania Moment" because that's how you know you've made it. It means you've proven you are at the very top of your game. Your match at Wrestlemania, whether you win or lose, is usually near the top of your list of your favorite matches. I'll post a link at the end of this of some WWE Superstars sharing their favorite Wrestlemania matches.

The thing about Wrestlemania is that since it only comes once every year, you know that every moment counts on that day. Whether your one of the men in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, in a match against Undertaker, who until last year's Wrestlemania, was undefeated at Wrestlemania with twenty-one consecutive wins at Wrestlemania until Brock Lesnar became the man to end the famous streak at Wrestlemania XXX last year, or even if your in the Main Event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, you know you've amde it when your competing in a match at Wrestlemania.

So here's my question, how do you know you've made it to the top of something? Whether it be in a school sport or something else, how do you know that you've proven to yourself that every time you told yourself "I can and I will" that no matter what happens at the end of it, you still feel a huge feeling of accomplishment? For me, it's when I complete something nobody else thought I would be able to complete in a million years. That's when you can look at the world square in the eyes and just say "Bring It. What's next?" So when do you have your moment that you've waited all that time for and at the end, no matter the outcome, you know you did something great. Leave your responses in the comments section below.

Here's the link I promised:

  1. I think success is a figment of our imagination, or rather a physiological concept, if you will. Your wish or goal might be to find true love, and at the time of that wish you are imagining true love as the prince or princess in every Disney movie's fabrication of true love. You might have found out years later that you have unintentionally fallen for someone you love EVERYTHING about, with all of their imperfections and absolute stainless qualities. You may have found that your success has changed, and that your true love was found in the idea of unconditional love in place of the perfect idea you had of it years ago.

In lighter terms, success for you will always change because you are a simple human being, therefore it is a fickle brain you possess. You will be constantly changing your mind and changing your ideas and goals, so that moment of realization that you have succeeded will be when you find what you've wanted, even if you haven't attained it in the way you thought you once would.

    4. I agree! As you grow older your ideas of success become more advanced than being able to create a tower of legos. They become something of great passion and knowledge in which only your mind can accomplish whole heartedly.

  2. Dangerous, but sometimes worth the shot. But I also agree that when you do something great that is separate from the outcome you are measuring intent, meaning how badly you wanted it and how much you tried. Sometimes in life you WON'T be successful in doing and getting what you wanted, but you will have the comfort in knowing that you put much effort into it, which is more noble than winning, I'd say.

  3. I think being at the top of your game is doing your best, not being number one but doing your best.

    1. I totally agree with this. Knowing that even though you may have lost, you still gave it everything you had.

    2. Now THAT is what Wrestlemania is all about. Both of those answers are exactly what I was looking for.

    3. We'll i believe that is how everyone should think. I know it isn't how people think but think about how nice it would be and how many people wouldn't be sore losers.

    4. I agree with you 100% Sidney. You don't have to win to make it to the top. All it takes is knowing that you gave it everything you possibly could.

  4. I agree the question did sound a little repetitive.

  5. I've felt that moment when I auditioned for Mary Poppins. The year before for West Side Story, I didn't get in. So I worked my booty off in learning harmonies to songs, and even took guitar class so I could fully grasp Treble Clef because I've read Bass for 8 years. And when I saw my name on the cast list, I've never felt so accomplished in my entire life. I knew that I was at the top because I was able to look back at everything I had done to get to that point.

    1. Now, THAT'S how you know you've made it. When you don't succeed one time then you come back with every last bit of practice you put in. That's how you know you've done it!

    2. Perfection is being able to look your friends in the eye and know you did everything you could not to let them down.-Gary Gaines (Friday Night Lights)

To me success is giving it your all at whatever you find yourself to do and gaining something from it, whether it is an accomplishment or a lesson learned. When you can look in the mirror and tell yourself that you gave every fiber of effort for something. That is true success.

    3. ^Ha ha. Friday Night Lights is the best Football themed TV show ever aired other than Blue Mountain State.

  6. Yeah, I did repeat the question a lot I guess, I just wanted to make it perfectly clear. I wanted to word it perfect.

  7. I find that everyone has different ideas of success. To me, my success may seem large but to another person it is small. It really depends on who you are as a person and how you value yourself. I have felt what it's like to feel successful but that feeling is usually 10 times stronger when it is with something musical. Anything that is said by anyone to me about my music (positively) is a big feeling of success for me.

    1. Well, that's because all the songs you have written are "AAAWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEE!!!"<-(Trademark The Niz)
But I do agree when you say that everyone has different ideas of success. I like this response.

  9. I know a lot of you probably do not follow the NCAA tournament very much, but I do. If some of you do not know I am attending University of Kentucky in the fall and they have a very good basketball program. They were having an undefeated season until last night, when they fell to another first ranked team, Wisconsin. After the tough loss giving them a 38-1 season a lot of the guys on the team (almost all 18 and 19 year olds) got interviewed. They were talking about how upsetting it was losing and how they had been working so hard to win and make history. They also said though that they gave it everything they had. Even with 2 seconds left in the game and down by 5 points they did not give up. That is what making it to the top of something means to me. Having so much heart and determination for something that even when you don't come out on top you still feel like you put your absolute best effort in and you are still proud of all that you accomplished.
