Poetry Slam

This isn't really poetry but i wanted to say that last night was the first night i went to poetry slam and it was a great experience and everyone who recited their own poetry did really great! Have a great spring break :)

I Forgot My Phone

I was shown this video a few months ago, and I actually think about it all the time. Everybody is always so absorbed in their phones that they totally forget to live through and enjoy the moments that they try so hard to document and remember. What do you guys think about this video? Do you do this? Or are you the person who feels like everyone around you pays more attention to their phones than life? And even though this is how life is now, do you think we can change it and go back to enjoying simple everyday joys without snapping a picture?

Broken meaning

Some of you have probably heard this song before; it was really popular in the early 2000's. Anyway, I have been listening to this for quite a while now, and I can't figure out what the singer means when he sings this song, or what "broken" means in this context.
I would like to see how everyone views this song, and what you think the song means. Is there any symbolism in the video/ words? What do you think the underlying message of this song is?
