White flakes cover my face White flakes land all over the place. White flakes bring a sting to my eyes, Yet these White flakes are a beauty all the time.
Small crystals crashing on my window. Wind pushing the flakes to their new destiny. As if powdered sugar was being spread. Each flake holding on to each other waiting to melt, together.
Through the window and across the street, Fluffy shards of ice dance in the street lamp’s light. Swirling and twirling, appearing from the dark of night, Their directions change as they are blown to the ground.
Small unique flakes so pure Just one flake causes a shiver Wind whistles softly as if guiding the lonesome flakes The gift that can quickly become a curse

ReplyDeleteIn a fast flutter,
ReplyDeleteAs a sudden cold comes in,
White surrounds you,
As the new snow comes falling in.
Fat flakes filling the sky and ground,
ReplyDeletebitter cold wind burning my face.
Icy roads causing nothing but trouble,
making my hate for snow grow.
Fleeting, they fall.
ReplyDeleteEach unique, but impermanent
Drifting alone together,
Turning cities into wonderlands
Falling out of the sky so lightly
ReplyDeleteHit the ground to cover the surface
Wonder why it came so late
But it is so beautiful so that what truly matters.
It came slow
ReplyDeleteFell easily and flew wildly
Not loved by all
But loved by me
Indefinitely

ReplyDeleteBeautiful white petals
ReplyDeleteFall from clouds, the flowers of the sky
It's only beautiful
If you're staying inside.
I hate snow.
One by one they came down
ReplyDeleteTo see all the little girls and boys
To here the giggles and screams
As they play with all the kids
Something so pure
ReplyDeleteCan cause so much damage
Something so beautiful
Can be described as ugly
The cold is dreadful,
ReplyDeleteYet the snow is a sight.
But now I know why
The birds take off in flight.
The sweet sound of silence,
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful sight of the blankets,
The feeling of the icy wind on your face,
Nothing quite compares.
The flakes outside can cause such joy
ReplyDeleteAs well as causing harm
The flakes outside make hapiness a noise
But prevents us from warmth
it was peaceful like the early morning,
ReplyDeleteyet caused so many reactions.
so overwhelmed with joy,
some full of dread
snow is white and it's cold
ReplyDeleteunlike my heart its cold
cold cold i'm about to fold
I hate the cold
Through the window and across the street,
ReplyDeleteFluffy shards of ice dance in the street lamp’s light.
Swirling and twirling, appearing from the dark of night,
Their directions change as they are blown to the ground.

ReplyDeleteIt sparkled like glitter,
ReplyDeleteit had no scent,
but it relaxed me,
it gave me a scene of light.
This midwestern cold
ReplyDeleteIs growing old
But it's the only home
I've ever known
As much as I love snow
ReplyDeleteand the glowing of it
I hate it because I can't do what I love
My love is playing softball
Small unique flakes so pure
ReplyDeleteJust one flake causes a shiver
Wind whistles softly as if guiding the lonesome flakes
The gift that can quickly become a curse
dust on the cold earth
ReplyDeletebecomes an expected burden,
a shining blanket
bringing false peace upon the branches
dancing, delicate
ReplyDeletefalling like particles onto the hard ground
free, simple
small water droplets frozen into something new
