Snow

Due to the upcoming snowfall, watch the snow as it falls. Write a 4 line poem about what you see, feel, smell, hear, etc.

  1. White flakes cover my face
White flakes land all over the place.
White flakes bring a sting to my eyes,
Yet these White flakes are a beauty all the time.

  2. Small crystals crashing on my window.
Wind pushing the flakes to their new destiny.
As if powdered sugar was being spread.
Each flake holding on to each other waiting to melt, together.

  4. In a fast flutter,
As a sudden cold comes in,
    White surrounds you,
As the new snow comes falling in.

  5. Fat flakes filling the sky and ground,
bitter cold wind burning my face.
Icy roads causing nothing but trouble,
making my hate for snow grow.

  6. Fleeting, they fall.
    Each unique, but impermanent
    Drifting alone together,
    Turning cities into wonderlands

  7. Falling out of the sky so lightly
Hit the ground to cover the surface
Wonder why it came so late
But it is so beautiful so that what truly matters.

  8. It came slow
    Fell easily and flew wildly
    Not loved by all
    But loved by me
    Indefinitely

  10. Beautiful white petals
Fall from clouds, the flowers of the sky
    It's only beautiful
    If you're staying inside.

  11. One by one they came down
To see all the little girls and boys
To here the giggles and screams
As they play with all the kids

    Can cause so much damage
    Something so beautiful

  13. The cold is dreadful,
Yet the snow is a sight.
    But now I know why
The birds take off in flight.

The beautiful sight of the blankets,
The feeling of the icy wind on your face,

  15. The flakes outside can cause such joy
    As well as causing harm
The flakes outside make hapiness a noise
    But prevents us from warmth

  18. Through the window and across the street,
Fluffy shards of ice dance in the street lamp’s light.
Swirling and twirling, appearing from the dark of night,
Their directions change as they are blown to the ground.

    it had no scent,
