Q & A Vault...
I love questions, but I often ask myself ones that I know not what to do with or how to answer. For anyone else like me that needs a place to store their questions, this thread will be an ongoing, safe place for you to store them. Feel free to attempt to answer others' questions, and if at anytime throughout the semester your find your own answer to a question you posed, you may post that you have found the answer, therefore rectifying that question.

Do all clouds move at the same pace?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so because when you see the shapes in the cloud you can almost always see them drift from each other, and the shapes go away or change
DeleteNope, because this morning, all the different levels of clouds were moving in opposite directions, slowly and rushed, some so close they looked like fog, others so high up, they were unattainable, gradually moving mountains. wish my mind was a camera...
DeleteWhen the sun shines, do you squint to avoid the bright light or do you struggle to view the world when it is illuminated?

ReplyDeleteI think it is because it is the nature of the world that looks beautiful. The part that is chaotic are the people. It's like looking at a person and thinking that they are pretty, or handsome, but then you get to know them and they aren't a very good person on the inside.
DeleteDo you enjoy the dimming of the sun as a cloud overtakes it or the crescendo of the sun as it outlasts the cloud's cover?
ReplyDeletecrescendo. That small moment has made me happy since I was little. I believe it is a small "battle" between good vs evil and always reminds me that good and love will prevail.
DeleteHow does creativity have a different sound from boredom? Is it KNOWING that makes a difference, or is it truly discernible?
ReplyDeleteI'm not completely sure if I get the question 100% but this is how I took it.
DeleteCreativity and boredom are different because doing something productive out of creativity will give you not only progress but also satisfaction. Doing things out of boredom will give you progress of a sort, but it won't feel nearly as satisfying, if at all, as doing it because of creativity. I think this might be because boredom provoking you to do something has no big inspiration or passion other than than itself. Creativity stems from inspiration, brewing ideas that you've had to keep locked up, passion, and a sort of excitement that runs through you every time you get a perfect sentence down, paint the perfect petal, or take the perfect still of the essence of how you view the world.
Do trees dance in the wind at their own free will or are they moved by the wind without choice? Is it a harmonious dance or a dictated action?
ReplyDeleteI believe they dance at their own free will because the earths delights gives you a chance to show them what you got. I just think the trees like the wind through their leaves so they dance.
DeleteI think the wind is blowing them because their leaves and branches are flimsy. They don't have muscles.

DeleteWhen you see power lines, roads, and houses among trees, grass, and fields, do you see progression or invasion?
ReplyDeleteInvasion. Call me a tree-hugging hippy but nature is such a beautiful creation, only to be stomped upon by the corruption of man in it's self-conceded greed for power.

DeleteIt depends. If it's there just to be there, it's invasion. I'm not trying to sound like a green freak, but when I look at the empty concrete lots in my town, I'm disgusted because we're not putting them to use. We destroyed several animal's homes just to slap come cold, dead, "progression" on the ground. In china, they're building entire towns that nobody lives in (called modern ghost towns), and the only reason they're destroying dozens of ecosystems is for the sake of "progressing" their economy. However, if we created something that could help the animals/plants that were lost in our progression co-exist with us, (plant non-invasive plants for animals to live in/survive off of etc.) then maybe that is progression? Sorry if this all sounds kind of crazy, but last summer I had a job taking care of the environment and that really opened my eyes as to how bad nature is suffering. This is also a super long post.

ReplyDeleteAccording to the Multi - Verse Theory space is always expanding, and eventually it will run out of new sets of data to expand on. However instead of just stopping the expansion it will begin to reuse old data, in little bits at first and then in large quantities until eventually enough repetitive data is accumulated and we end up with a semi exact copies of the world we live in right now and a semi exact copy of the section of the universe we live in circumstantialy of corse but it would still be playable in the sector of quantum string it would manifest in and there for be subject to circumstances determined by the time paradox

ReplyDeleteThe world my be hopeless and doomed. But as individuals we make are own choices we control our life, or deductions and as long as you make the right ones sometimes there will always be good in you. Ad long is there is good their it hope.

ReplyDeleteI think that we are always looking for new problems. After you resolve one you realize that something can get get better, so you fight again. There is always a way to improve, you we always fight for the improvments.
DeleteIf I switched closets with someone, what outfits would they make with my clothes that I never thought of?
ReplyDeletereminded me of those problems in math in about 4th grade when you had to see how many outfits you could make with 5 shirts 3 pants and like nine pairs of shoes.

ReplyDeleteImmensely happy. It just irks me to no end when there is intense cold with no snow. It makes me ask, what is the point? i can't walk my dogs for hours without them putting up their little paws and shivering in protest. Sitting outside and taking pictures has lost it's luster since the grass is a mottled khaki and and nasty poopy brown (except for the sunrise. I'll never give taking pictures of that). yes, i am happy. but our supply should be replenished next week....
DeleteI am overjoyed we're finally seeing the snow melt. I love snow, sure, but we've had such an overabundance of it that I just want it all gone. I crave for spring, as not only do I want the warm weather again, but I want to be free from being stuck inside all the time. I want to go swimming again, bike riding again, and just go out on ventures once more.
DeleteGuilty pleasures: do they please us simply because we know we shouldn't like them or do we feel guilt for being pleased?
ReplyDeleteKind of a bit of both. When I'm snacking on something, I feel kind of guilty because I know I shouldn't be gluttonous but my god do I love food. Later on, I feel really guilty for eating the food because I feel bad for stuffing my face.

DeleteBut, sure. maybe they do. how could we step on there relatives and skip them across ponds (don't forget watching them drown) kick there relatives, and cement them in to high structures, only to topple when a better idea comes along?! Yeah, i'd try to roll down a hill to. Tensing up, totally plausible (sorry, I've been watching Mythbusters).
why doesnt everyone in the world speak one language?
ReplyDeleteIf you go by the bible (which I know not everyone does) it says that man kind was trying to build a tower to Heaven and as punishment God made it fall because people had to earn their way to Heaven. Then ad punishment he made them all speak different languages. Other than that I have no idea.

ReplyDeleteActually, death is relative to sleep. Look it up in the Bible at John 11:11-14. During sleep, you are unconscious, unaware of what's going on.The same point is made Ecclesiastes 9:5, where "the dead are... conscious of nothing at all." That's why i don't believe in ghosts or poltergeists haunting a house or someone's life. And at Genesis 2:7, it said Adam "became a living soul", not that he was given one. And lastly, at Ezekiel 18:4 the Bible says that, " the souls that sins is the one who will die."
DeleteAnd after all that, while sleeping you still have your memories, you don't forget them in this cloud drive in the sky with 14GB left. ( ; Nope, you have them still, and they crash together to create the weirdest dreams this side of the Milky Way Galaxy has ever seen!
How do you decide if you're going to make a story with a first, second, or third person point of view?

DeleteIf we made lamps to light rooms and stuff why did we make lamp shades? Doesn't that defeat the main purpose?
ReplyDeleteLamp shades block off the harshness of the lightbulb, so that one can look at the general area where the lamp is without being blinded. They also add a certain ambiance and style to the room.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a concept. Sure, there's dawn, midday, dusk, and midnight, but no other creature tries to measure this time except for humans.
DeleteAnd no other living thing has the capabilities that humans have, of thought, emotions- guilt, empathy, apathy, speech, actual, brain power... and the list goes on. i mean, when was the last time you saw a caterpillar wondering why it was a caterpillar? only thing i know does that is a human. i think we are of a very special race, do you not think so? and if time is such and "abstract idea", why use it?

ReplyDeleteWe are born to die. If that is so then why leave? Some may leave behind a legacy but what happens to those who don't? We just become worthless souls that served our purpose of death.
