Like a tidal wave crashing down, one me. The realization that my love far outweighed yours. So I moved on. What else could I possibly do. It still pains me, but not quite as much.
A dead end that was cold and dark where no light could ever reach its hands to me. I tried to call out for help, but no one could ever find there way to me through this dark maze. So I sat down all by myself, sobbing, wonder what to do.
There is power behind insanity. When you have the control to make others cower. There is strength when the mind is weak. When they fear you because of your thoughts.
She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. She wondered how many more times she'd have to try again, and how many of those would be met with failure.
I can still feel his breath on my neck, his hand in mine and the thought of him not being with me hurt,it hurt me to no end. Will I ever get the thought of "us" out of my head?
I had to convince myself that the "us" is now only me. He was gone and I knew it was the best for me, for him, for us. My world no longer revolved him, it didn't need to.
The near tangible distance between them could only be the ocean. They were sailing the brooding waves, the tension like the still winds that ceased to propel them.
She was a young girl, he an older man. Though their family disagreed, after a mere six months they were off to the chapel to recite their vows. When he was sent to war, she clutched her wedding ring tight to her heart. When his body was sent back for the services, the ring dropped to the floor. She remained a widowed, old, bitter woman, a tear falling down her frail cheek every time she slid the beautiful jewelry onto her finger.
She was happy. Her life was perfect. But something inside her died, so eventually, it killed her too.
