Inanimate object

For this post, write a first person account of being reincarnated as an inanimate object. Describe your initial reactions and what you would proceed to do after your realization.

Go crazy. It can be as long or as short as you want!

  1. Assuming we have our own sentience I would hope I was a computer! U can never be bored on the interwebz :D And then I can make myself a robot body then recreate the plot of I robot with will smith.

    Yep.

    Good movie.

  2. I always felt like people walked all over me, used me for their own comfort. Now my nightmares are reality, and I am the soulless soles of their feet. I can't tell which hurts more: feeling terrible or becoming it.

  3. Is it possible to be "time"? I would want to be able to just be. Time is everywhere all at once. But I could control what happens. To speed up or slow down moments. To rewind or pause any part of life. To be every where at once. Time occurs in any region, atmosphere, universe, heaven. Time is endless, therefore I'd have a permanent place. Even when there is absolutely nothing, there is still "time".

    1. I actually have to disagree with the idea of that just because humans came up with the concept of time, so if there's nothing, there isn't really time. I do get what you're trying to say, though.

  4. I used to feel so empty.Like there was no meaning to my existence. One day after another trying to fill my life with joy or pain. Really whichever came first. I would tell my friends i was happy with being pushed around like a feather in the wind, but they'd just say i was full of hot air. So i guess this new life is the best for me. I can go where ever the breeze tells me to. It's what i was always good at. It's the only thing hot air balloons do.

  5. I never thought I would be an inanimate object after death. In fact, I never gave it much thought what would happen to me after death. I guess this new life is what I could expect. In life, I tried my best to make others happy; however, I often felt controlled by the needs and/or wants of others. I am being controlled right now, actually. The controller does a familiar pattern and I find myself throwing a concession of punches at Sheeva. I feel empowered and in charge. It is not me who is in control... It is my owner who just so happened to have the urge to play Mortal Kombat on this day.

  6. I know this sounds immature, but here's my inanimate object: an action figure. More specifically, a WWE action figure. Here's why I'll use it: Because 1.) I still collect figures every so often and 2.) my brother likes playing with them.

    The Brock Lesnar Figure Standpoint:

It was Saturday that I beat Shawn Michaels one-on-one for the XWE Championship. It was a painful match, but the controller (my brother), just seemed to never end that fight. Never-the-less, I still won and reatained the plastic championship. But this Saturday, I fight a Roman Reigns Figure for the title and I'm pretty sure that one is going to take even longer. But right now "The Beast Incarnate" is still the reigning, defending, undisputed, XWE Heavyweight Champion of the world!

Like I said, I know that sounds childish, but that is a child's toy. The only time it's animate is when someone plays with the figure. MY FIGURES are ALWAYS inanimate though because they never get used. But this was an interesting post I had some fun with.

  7. I would be a bed, because people feel comfortable and safe in their bed most of the time. I love being in my bed and i love being safe and warm and I'd want other people to feel that too.

  8. I would want to be fine art so that I am beautiful and few people are allowed to touch me.

    2. Not to totally blow out of proportion the most likely figurative perspective you took, can I poke you in class?
But fine art, that really is a good thing to be. But I disagree and here's why: "We are made of art, not just simply decorated by it." --Banksy
Honestly I saw this online and I love this quote. I am not sure who Banksy is, but he should be a proud man (or she should be).
      So..poke, yes?

  9. I would most love to come back as a dragonfly. They are harmless, beautiful, and gorgeous. They fly around and minding their own business, they bring pretty colors to the world, and thy don't cause any harm to us. They are one of Earth's many unique beings on this planet.
