In your opinion, what is a beautiful disaster? What makes something a beautiful disaster? Give examples, thoughts, and opinions!

  1. A beautiful disaster is something terrible that has happened that gives birth to a new light on the situation to make it "beautiful". And that always depends on whether or not you want to look at the glass half full or half empty.

    1. When I think of a beautiful disaster, I think of tragic events like a tsunami. For example, when a tsunami occurs, it is terrible and devastating and many lives are lost. BUT, it is amazing to see how everyone bands together after it and tries to help everybody. It is beauty created from a disaster.

    2. I agree Shelton. For some reason I think of water too. Like a hurricane

  2. Hmmm well I guess a beautiful disaster is a major disaster but people or things can benifit from it. The creation of the universe would be a excellent one as a example, it was a terryfing explosion that could wipe out our earth in probably a fraction of a second but because of that explosion many beautiful things were created (not humans were selfish idiots that care only about ourselves), so without beautiful disaster we wouldn't be here so yay?

  3. I think that a beautiful disaster is when something goes completely wrong or a tragedy happens, but people can still see the good that came out of it. Not the "everything happens for a reason", but just that everyone sees how it benefits something else. I feel like the situation isn't something that people would argue over being a beautiful disaster. I think it would be widely accepted as one, unlike the matter of "everything happens for a reason." I hope that makes sense.

  5. A beautiful disaster is when an event occurs that causes tragedy, but something good happens because of that disaster. Take a lot of things we have today: cars, schools, different types of food, post-its, glue, etc. In my opinion, I don't think everything we have today was created by the mind of someone. I think that some of the things that were created were a different thing at first and then something happened that caused inventors to look at the disaster and see a different invention that could be made. But that is just my thoughts

  9. A beautiful disaster is a sitation that seems gloomy but the end result of said situation is something wonderful and unexpected. At least that's my interpretation of a Beatiful Disaster.

  10. A beautiful disaster is something that has meaning, even if that meaning is interpreted as negative by the general populace, it's when the artist can capture the beauty in death, war, or pain. Theres a beauty to everything it just takes a certain eye to see it

  11. Beautiful disasters are things that prove that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how bad the situation is, there is a positive aspect to it. It is a learning experience.

  12. I think a beautiful disaster is something in life (( usually stressful)) that in the end takes you to a place you never thought you would be. In the moment the disaster is painful and messy but at the end it makes you a stronger person for it and are able to grow because of it

  13. A beautiful disaster may hurt others but the beauty of it makes it okay. People do not mind if it is destructive because of how beautiful it is. It can be a person, an object, a moment in time.
